JOB SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Internal Audit (IA) Director, responsible for supporting the IA Director in managing the Internal Audit Division and acts in a lead capacity in their absence. Schedules and performs complex financial, operational, contract, compliance, and assurance audits for internal departments and vendors while maintaining independence and objectivity. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED Assists in supervising and coordinating day-to-day operations Performs review of all draft audit reports prior to going to the IA Director for final approval Communicates regularly with county personnel, management, and elected officials in support of audit activity Performs advanced full charge audits of essential county offices
